Art in interesting places

There has been a lot of construction on our campus the last few years. One of these new buildings is a laboratory facility for Chemistry and Biology. When they built it, they had to tear down Hanley Hall and cut down some really big trees.

This semester I have been spending some time on that part of campus between two of my classes. I am not sure when this owl was created but one day I noticed it and it made me smile. I wonder how many people actually notice it? I am hoping more than I expect.

We may have lost a great tree, but we gained something to make us smile.
